The Centre
Corris Hostel is Wales
Tourist Board Three-Star graded & a Green Tourism Award
Winner.
Accommodation
The building was imaginatively renovated in 1992 in keeping with its educational heritage, yet maintains a homely image popular with visitors. It has an environmental focus. Central heating and a welcoming log fire in the main hall permit all year usage. Space is available for study and workshops. Visual aids can be provided.
There is quality bunkbed accommodation for 42 people; four family bunk
rooms ranging from 2 to 6 beds and two single-sex shared rooms,
one taking 10 people with en-suite
shower and toilet and the other room taking 22
people. In order to provide greater privacy, the two large
rooms have pine partitioning which sub-divides the space into smaller
units, each sleeping four.
All rooms are carpeted and have hand-basins
and lockers. Duvets, pillows and sheet sleeping bags are provided.
Showers are available and there is a laundry/drying room. There
is a small play and picnic area in the grounds. Dogs are welcome
only in the main hall and grounds due to health hygiene regulations.
Kitchen/Meals
To permit maximum
user flexibility "meals"
and "self-catering" options are available. There is a modern self-catering kitchen, fully equipped with cooking utensils and crockery. Home cooked meals range from breakfast to full board, with a vegetarian emphasis. Other dietary requirements can be met.
